Continuing Education and Professional Development Credits

Participants in the 18th World Congress on Public Health (WCPH 2026) may be eligible to receive professional education credits through APHEA, EACCME, and SAMA, depending on their professional status and country of practice.

APHEA

APHEA accreditation is relevant to all Congress participants. Credits are awarded based on participation time, at a rate of 1 credit per hour, with a maximum of 5 credits per day. For WCPH 2026, participants may receive up to 25 credits. Certificates will be available through the Congress platform after the event, following completion of the participant evaluation questionnaire.

EACCME

EACCME accreditation is particularly relevant to participants from Europe and to eligible participants from the United States and Canada. Credits are awarded based on individual participation, at a rate of 1 credit per hour, with a maximum of 8 credits per day. For WCPH 2026, participants may receive up to 28 credits. Certificates will be available through the Congress platform after the event, following completion of the required questionnaire.

SAMA / HPCSA CPD Credits

WCPH 2026 is accredited through the South African Medical Association (SAMA), under the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) CPD system. These credits are primarily relevant to South African health professionals. Participants may receive up to 36 credits, including 32 clinical credits and 4 ethics credits. Credits are generally awarded at 1 CEU per hour, while oral and poster presentations may qualify for 2 CEUs per hour. No certificates will be issued for SAMA credits; CEUs will be allocated by SAMA based on participation records and completed participant questionnaires.
