About the WCPH congress
From September 6–9, 2026, the WFPHA, in collaboration with PHASA, will host the 18th WCPH in Cape Town.
With its breathtaking landscapes and rich cultural heritage, Cape Town provides the perfect setting to address pressing global health challenges, such as health equity and sustainability and inclusivity, while fostering international collaboration and innovation in public health.
Past congresses
The 17th World Congress on Public Health took place in Rome from 2 to 6 May 2023. The Congress was organized by WFPHA together with the Association of Schools of Public Health (ASPHER) and the Italian Society of Hygiene, Preventive Medicine and Public Health (SItI). Over than 3000 delegates from all over the world attended. Inspiring presentations and meaningful discussions brought together public health professionals as they navigated challenges under the theme of “A World in Turmoil: Opportunities to Focus on the Public’s Health”
